Jacinta Colley is a Research Fellow with the Hopkins Centre at Griffith University. Jacinta has been involved in several research projects exploring the needs of people with spinal cord and brain injuries across both hospital and community settings. In particular, she is interested in the interaction between people and place, and how environmental design can support health and healthcare experiences, including for those with neurological injuries. Her PhD research, completed in 2018, explored user experiences of the neurorehabilitation built environment, and applied a mixed-methods, user-centred approach to examine the potential supportive function of the inpatient neurorehabilitation setting. She previously completed a Bachelor of Psychology with first class honours, and her thesis titled: Everyday money management after traumatic brain injury, examined neuropsychological functioning and experiences of money management of people several years after traumatic brain injury.
