Dr Jennifer Boddy is Senior Lecturer and Program Director for the Master of Social Work. Her research focuses on the relationship between people and their environments in a broad range of contexts. Jennifer has maintained an active role in social work practice, serving on the Australian Association of Social Work National Social Policy Committee, the Australian Association of Social Work and Welfare Educators, and mentoring practitioners on scholarly endeavours. She has previously worked with the University of Newcastle, NSW Health as a counsellor, and with Centacare Children’s Services as a case worker. Jennifer has traditionally researched the social environments in which people live, and has more recently moved into looking at the effects of natural and online environments on people’s wellbeing. She is currently working on several studies that explore social media, and the creation of healthy, sustainable environments.
