Members connect and celebrate at The Hopkins Centre’s 2025 End of Year Meet & Mingle
The Hopkins Centre hosted a warm and engaging Meet and Mingle event on Thursday 4 December 2025 at the PA Hospital, bringing together over 43 members to celebrate the year’s collective achievements. The annual gathering offered an opportunity for researchers, clinicians, and industry partners to reconnect, share ideas, and strengthen collaborations that drive bold and responsive research.
Professor Tim Geraghty opened the evening by thanking members for their dedication throughout 2025 and reflecting on the Centre’s significant milestones from the year. His remarks highlighted the breadth of impactful work undertaken across clinical innovation, rehabilitation research and consumer-engaged projects.
A key moment in the evening was the announcement of 7 new seed grants, 3 long-term clinical fellowships, and 1 Bright Sparks grant. These initiatives will support emerging and established researchers to develop innovative projects that improve outcomes for people with disability, spinal cord injury, brain injury and other complex health needs. The Centre looks forward to seeing the outcomes and impact of these grants unfold in 2026.
The event provided a relaxed space for networking and idea-sharing, with members exchanging insights, discussing new opportunities and sparking future collaborations. The Meet and Mingle once again highlighted the strength of The Hopkins Centre community and its shared commitment to better solutions for the future.
