Joyce Yi
PhD candidate in clinical psychology
Joyce is a PhD candidate in clinical psychology with a multidisciplinary background spanning industry and academia. Her work focuses on translating evidence-based psychological research into practical, community-informed outcomes. She has contributed to innovative stakeholder engagement approaches that support meaningful participation of marginalised communities, including the Voice of Queenslanders Survey, the Queensland Disability Research Network, and the SAPA Project. Joyce’s doctoral research investigates how vocational participation relates to wellbeing after spinal cord injury, with a focus on factors that support sustained employment. She is committed to inclusive, co-designed research that informs more equitable opportunities for people to live fulfilling, meaningful lives.
For leisure, Joyce enjoys gravel riding and bike-packing, reading and playing board games.
