Consumer Engagement Strategy

About the Project

The Division of Rehabilitation (DoR) and The Hopkins Centre recognise that consumers of rehabilitation services (also known as service users) have a valuable role to play in the development and delivery of rehabilitation services and in conducting and translating rehabilitation research. It is also recognised that a more coordinated and sustainable approach to consumer engagement across DoR and The Hopkins Centre is needed.

The aim of the Consumer Engagement Strategy Project is to develop a research-based model of meaningful involvement of Division of Rehabilitation consumers. The broad objective of this initiative is to develop a divisional and research based model of meaningful involvement of DoR service users. Specifically, the project will design, plan and document a sustainable service user engagement and governance strategy, which embeds into clinical, management, education and research activities of the DoR and The Hopkins Centre.
