Spotlight on Hopkins Spinal Cord Injury Research
This week we are very proud to be supporting Spinal Cord Injuries Awareness Week 2025 from the 1st – 7th September and including World Spinal Cord injury (SCI) Day on Friday 5th September Sci Day - International Spinal Cord Society.
The official theme of SCI Day is Fall Prevention, Spinal Cord Protection and it aims to highlight both the major increase in falls as a preventable cause of SCI but also risk of falling for people who have a spinal cord injury.
I hope that you will join us this 2025 SCIAW as we highlight some of our current SCI research projects and it is a very important opportunity for us all to remember that there is still a huge amount of work for us to do to make our communities truly inclusive for people with SCI and other disabilities.
The Hopkins Centre is proud to showcase some of our innovative, close-to-practice research being undertaken with statewide spinal cord injury (SCI) service provider - the Queensland Spinal Cord Injuries Service at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Metro South Health.
