Brain Injury Awareness Week 2025
August 18th - August 24th
Brain Injury Awareness Week (BIAW) 2025 will be held from August 18 to August 24, focusing on raising awareness about brain injuries and their impacts.
BIAW is all about celebrating the strength of the 1 in 45 Australians living with its impact every day. The theme for BIAW 2025 is “Invisible disabilities deserve visible change.” This theme aims to highlight how brain injuries, often considered "invisible disabilities," intersect with various societal issues. The week will provide a platform for advocacy and support for individuals living with brain injuries.

Our upcoming Hopkins Hour on September 17 titled 'Technology and co-design with people following acquired brain injury (ABI)' hosted by Prof Louise Gustafsson and featuring presenters, Janelle Griffin, Rebecca Seeeny and Kaitlyn Spalding will showcase and follow on from BIAW by exploring the impact research by The Hopkins Centre is having on everyday Australian's living with brain injury.
