The Hopkins Centre Research Featured at National Pain Conference
The Hopkins Centre is pleased to share that researcher Kelly Walsh recently presented a poster titled “Considerations for person-centred group pain management programs” at the 2026 Australian Pain Society 46th Annual Scientific Meeting in Adelaide.
Hosted by the Australian Pain Society, the conference is Australia’s leading multidisciplinary event focused on pain management research, clinical practice, and education. The 2026 meeting gathered together clinicians, researchers, and health professionals from across Australia and internationally to explore contemporary approaches to pain care and management.
The poster presentation emerged from a Hopkins Centre Seed Project, “Making interdisciplinary pain management programs more patient-centred: a qualitative study of patients’ perceptions of the ENGAGE pain group.” Led by Kelly Walsh, the project explores the knowledge, skills, and experiences people gain through participation in interdisciplinary pain management programs, with the aim of informing more responsive and person-centred models of care.
The research aligns closely with The Hopkins Centre commitment to collaborative and interdisciplinary rehabilitation research that improves health services and outcomes for people living with persistent pain and disability.
