Samantha Borg

Research Assistant, The University of Queensland and Hopkins Centre Griffith University

Samantha has a Bachelor of Health Science, majoring in Nutrition and Dietetics (Hons) from Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane. Samantha has been a Research Assistant at The University of Queensland since 2013, where she is involved in health services research, including integrated primary-secondary models of care and primary care improvement tools.

Since joining the Hopkins Centre in 2017, Samantha has been involved in two of the centre’s projects. The first is ‘The International Spinal Cord Injury (InSCI) Community Survey’, a World Health Organisation project. The project is broadly designed to contribute to, and strengthen internationally comparable data about the experiences of people living in the community with spinal cord injury.

More recently, Samantha has also joined the ‘Making complex interfaces work for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)’ research team. This project focuses broadly on how NDIS funded supports are provided and how they fit together, and uncover more about interface tensions and gaps and identify where coordination incentives and supports are needed to safeguard efficiencies and choice
