You CAN Ask That Resources
About the resources
You CAN Ask That was developed through The Hopkins Centre Seed Grant project, You CAN Ask That: Co-producing resources for people with spinal cord injury, led by Dr Kelsey Chapman and Dr Kelly Clanchy. The project explored ways to improve access to information and support people with spinal cord injury (SCI) to ask questions, participate in rehabilitation conversations and make informed decisions about their care. Working with people with lived experience, families and clinicians, the project identified more than 90 common questions about rehabilitation and co-designed practical resources to support patient-led conversations. The project also resulted in the development of a digital Question Builder prototype for the Metro South Health patient entertainment system.
You CAN Ask That! is a practical set of co-designed communication tools developed through The Hopkins Centre Seed Grant project, You CAN Ask That: Co-producing resources for people with spinal cord injury. The resources empower people with spinal cord injury (SCI) to communicate with their healthcare team by helping them identify and ask the questions that matter most to them. Designed to support better conversations, the resources encourage people with SCI to take an active role in their rehabilitation, care and decision-making.
