‘Threads of Hope’ Finalist in Global Film Festival Spotlighting Disability Inclusion
Threads of Hope, a moving short film by Hopkins Centre ambassador Belinda Adams, about the Big Beanie Project, has been named a finalist in the Diversity and Inclusion category of the 2025 Focus on Ability Short Film Festival. Created by Belinda Adams, a person with lived experience of disability and proud Ambassador for The Hopkins Centre, the film was selected from hundreds of entries across 26 countries.
The international festival, now in its 17th year, celebrates the talents and voices of people with disability. Threads of Hope highlights the power of creativity, connection and community in the journey of brain injury recovery, raising awareness for the one in 45 Australians affected.
“We’re honoured to be part of a platform that celebrates ability and shifts the narrative,” said Ms Adams. “This film is a tribute to resilience and hope.”
