Leah Vegh
Advanced neuro-respiratory physiotherapist, Queensland Health
Leah Vegh is an advanced neuro-respiratory physiotherapist with more than 20 years’ experience in physiotherapy, with a particular interest in cardiorespiratory health and spinal cord injury (SCI) management. She has worked across the Queensland Spinal Cord Injuries Service (QSCIS), including acute care, rehabilitation and community settings, and is an Advanced Physiotherapist at Princess Alexandra Hospital.
Leah is involved in research and service improvement focused on improving health outcomes and access to care for people living with SCI. She is currently leading the day-to-day operation of the FASST-SCI clinic at Princess Alexandra Hospital, a national research project evaluating a new model of care to improve screening and treatment for obstructive sleep apnoea following SCI. Leah has also contributed to research examining innovative physiotherapy models of care and to statewide initiatives supporting improved rehabilitation services in Queensland.
