Multidisciplinary Intervention for Post-Traumatic Headaches Following Concussion: A Scoping Review
About the Project
Project Aims
This project aims to identify and map the existing literature on multidisciplinary approaches used to manage post-traumatic headaches (PTH) in adults following a concussion. It also seeks to examine the characteristics and outcomes of these interventions to inform clinical practice and guide future research.
Expected Outcomes and Impacts
The review is expected to:
- Provide a comprehensive overview of current multidisciplinary interventions for PTH.
- Guide clinicians in selecting and delivering effective strategies to reduce headache frequency, severity, and duration.
- Contribute to improved quality of life for people with PTH through evidence-based care.
- Inform future clinical trials that assess intervention effectiveness on return-to-work outcomes and daily functioning.
- Influence local practice at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and reach international audiences via publication.
