Riding for Change: Dr Nick Aitcheson Joins the 2026 Pain Revolution Tour
The Hopkins Centre is proud to support Dr Nick Aitcheson as he takes part in the 2026 Pain Revolution Rural Outreach Tour — an inspiring initiative raising awareness and improving access to pain education in rural and regional communities across Australia.
A Rehabilitation and Pain Physician and Director of the Metro South Pain Rehabilitation Centre, Dr Aitcheson will join 25 riders on an eight-day, 750km cycling tour through Northern New South Wales in October 2026. Along the way, the team will stop in small communities to deliver pain education seminars, connect with local people, and share practical resources to support those living with chronic pain.
Chronic pain is one of Australia’s most significant health challenges, costing the country an estimated $100 billion each year through healthcare expenses, lost productivity and reduced quality of life. Pain Revolution works to address this by training “Local Pain Educators” who can continue supporting their communities long after the tour has ended.
As a not-for-profit initiative, all funds raised go directly toward expanding pain education and building stronger local support networks.
Dr Aitcheson is aiming to raise $5,000 as part of the tour, helping to create lasting impact for people living with chronic pain in regional Australia.
